Taco Bueno in Tulsa Ok and surounding areas is my favorite of the fast food mexican places to munch… You know how I love fast food.

It was  opened as an extention of Casa Bonita which was a mexican resturaraunt wonderland when I was a kid. It has a cave and a night sky and looked like mexico. It’s still there actually if you wanted to check that out.

Bueno blows the socks off of Taco Bell… Everything about it is better…The sauce, meat, cheeese. You name it.  I’ll eat at Bell but because there is usually a Beueno very close by I always get pulled to bueno.

The platters are pretty groovy. Lot’s of food for a cheap price… With Rice and beans and chips and saulsa. Sour cream and guacamole. You can get one of these full plates of food for as little as $2.99.

The service is usually pretty decent as I have found lots of incompetence in fast food employees but usaully good results at Bueno.  The food is always made fresh and they use very good ingrediants. How do I know this? I used to deliver meat and cheese to them when I was in my 20’s working for a small meat company.

The salsa bar is pretty cool too… All made fresh daily!

The Corner Cafe in Tulsa is one of my favorites. They are reasonably priced and have great coffee.. And you can smoke ( I plan to quit when the sun is warm)

Located historic rout 66 in Tulsa it sits on the corner. It is really a nice slice of Americana. There is a tattoo shop right behind it in case you want to get some ink. Across the street is a closed down auto shop with a bizarre sign that says:

I’d Rather an Egg

My pretty girl and I go there and have some breakfast and coffee and contemplate the meaning of the sign as we stare out the window. Everybody that has ever been with us automatically see’s it.

•  Hashbrowns

There are plenty of other things that we haven’t tried but all of these have been satisfactory for us… And the coffee is great…And so is the service. The same waitresses have been there for years.

I’m not saying that this is the best breakfast place I have ever eaten…But it blows Denny’s away…That must be why there is no more Denny’s open in Tulsa..

Did I mention they let you smoke? So few restaurants do… A cup of coffee, a smoke and- I’d rather an egg… It don’t get much better than that.
